Super D 49395 is an LNWR Class G 0-8-0 which is numbered 49395. This was its BR number. Its LMS number was 9395 the 4 being added by BR. Its LNWR number was 485. It was built in 1921 at Crewe Works. It is the only one of this class left.
This former steam roundhouse is located at Barrow Hill near Chesterfield and was saved by the Barrow Hill Engine Shed Society. The photos on this page were taken in 2005
