This signal box came from Grosey Bank level Crossing near Wirksworth

Wirksworth is now the headquarters of the The Ecclesbourne Valley Railway

The Ecclesbourne Valley Railway also has a station along side the Derwent Valley line at Duffeild station.


The the former Midland Railway’s main line railway line to the north of Matlock was closed in 1968. In 1975 the Peak Rail project was born with the aim to re-open the Matlock to Buxton railway line as a heritage and community railway.The railway now runs from Matlock to Rowsley.
