Class 37100 and 37178 at Barrow Hill in 2007

Class 37100 in the HNRC shed in 2007.

37100 has only just been painted in Network Rail yellow. There is still masking paper over the windows so there may be more coats of yellow to spray.

Some nice person has put details of the number of this and another class 37 37217 which is behind 37100 on the sheet of paper, Thank you.

Class 37 100 went to work with Network Rail in 2007 as 97301.

Class 37 217 went to work with Network Rail in 2008 as 97304.

This XP64 liveried class 47 47853 Rail Express had come to Barrow Hill with a Hertfordshire Railtours charter from King's Cross to this LNER themed gala. Another Class 47839 Pegasus had top and tailed this train.

I think this locomotive has now been preserved at Weardale Railway
