Class 52, Class 24 and Class 73 Class 45 and Class 40
 
D1023 Western Fusilier

The Class 52 is a Type 4 diesel-hydraulic locomotives built for use on the Western Region of British Railways between 1961 and 1964.
 
D1023 Western Fusilier was bulit by British Railways at Swindon in 1963. The locomotive was withdrawn in by British Railways in 1977. The locomotive is now part of the national collection at the NRM at York.
 
class 24 D5054

D5054 was built in 1959 by British Railways Crewe as a  Sulzer Type 2 later to be Class 24. 151 were built at Derby, Crewe and Darlington.
 
The class 24 is in the early British Railways green with no yellow warning panels.
 
D5054 is now based at the East Lancashire Railway and has been named 'Phil Southern'.
 
Class 73138

The Class 73 is an electro-diesel locomotive. The Class 73's were built by British Railways for British Railways Southern Region's 650/750 Volt DC third-rail network. The class 73s has a diesel engine for when there is no 650/750 Volt DC third-rail in sidings and for cross London freights away from the third rail network.
 
This Class  73 was one of the last passenger train's to traverse the Weymouth Tramway with the Pathfinder Tours 'The Way-Farer' on the 2nd of May in 1999.
 
This class 73 is now with Network Rail and is painted in Network Rail yellow.
 
Some of GBRf's Class 73s have now been been  re-engined as Class 73/9 by Brush Traction Wabtec at  Loughborough. They have been  fitted with MTU 1,600 hp V8 engines.
