This LMS Black 5 4-6-0 no.45305 Alderman A E Draper had come to Crewe with the 'Crewe Open Day Special' between Nuneaton and Crewe and Crewe and Nuneaton on the return.The Black 5 had come into the Works between trips.
British Railways Scammell Scarab at Crewe
The Scammell Scarab was a British 3-wheeled tractor unit produced between 1948 and 1967. They were used to move goods between the railway and Factorys or homes. The were open and covered trailers and the tractor unit would change between whatever trailers was needed to be moved.

K1 is a an 0-4-0+0-4-0 articulated Garratt, one of a pair built in 1909 by Beyer Peacock for the North-East Dundas Tramway inTasmania. This locomotive was from the new Welsh Highland railway.
0-4-0STT Palmerston from the Ffestiniog Railway at the Crewe Works Open Day in 2005
0-4-0STT Palmerston was restored to back into service in 993 after many years out of use at the Ffestiniog Railway. Palmerston was the fourth loco made for the Ffestiniog Railway and was delivered in March 1864.
