WAGN was owned by Prism Rail and was taken over by the National Express Group
 
From the 1st April 2004 it then called itself just WAGN instead of West Anglia Great Northern.

As from the 1st April 2006, First Capital Connect took over from WAGN. The Great Northern commuter services from Peterborough and as well the trains from Kings Lynn and Cambridge to London Kings Cross. First Capital Connect also ran the Thameslink trains through London from Bedford to Brighton.

 
As from 2014, Thameslink Great Northern have taken over from First Capital Connect the Great Northern commuter services from Peterborough. as well as the trains from Kings Lynn and Cambridge to London Kings Cross. Thameslink also runs the Thameslink trains through London from Bedford to Brighton. It now run trains from Peterborough to the Brighton line.

Hull Trains is an open access rail operater which used the class 170 with about 3 return trains a day. When Hull Trains got the class 222s Pioneers the number of trains per day went up to about 7 a day. This three car class 170 395 is in Kings Cross station in 2004 waiting to return north to Hull . Hull trains now use the Class 180 Adelante.
 
 
Kings Cross railway station is one of the main London stations. The station is in the North of London. Trains run from here to the North East via the East Coast Main Line (ECML) to towns like Huntingdon and Peterborough. Then on to Grantham and Newark, Doncaster, York and Durham to Newcastle. Then into Scotland to Edinburgh were trains can go to rest of Scotland including Glasgow and Aberdeen. Trains also go to Cambridge and Leeds.
