All public transport will have to be (or made) accessible by 2019 under the Disability Discrimination Act. Pacers will not, and can not be made, to meet these requirements. So they will hopefully all have to be withdrawn, by the end of 2019.

These so called Nodding Donkeys which can also have excessive flange squeal on tight curves were based on a Leyland bus body, are one of British Rails worst designs. They were built to be cheap and use bus parts. The idear was to only use them for little used short services, but they have also been used for longer distance services.

Now that Lincoln station has had a major resignalling and a new track layout scheme during the years 2007 to 2008 these services and most other terminating trains can now depart from the same platform as they came into, saving time.

There used to be two stations in Lincoln, The Great Northern's Lincoln Central and the Midland railways Lincoln St Marks. Unlike some towns and villages, these stations were right in the middle of the town. Both stations were lest than a mile apart, and both stations had level crossings near to the end of the platforms on the main High street. Today Lincoln Central is the only station at Lincoln. This still has a level crossing on the main High street.

Lincoln is the county town of Lincolnshire and was and still is the hub of the railways in this part of Lincolnshire.
