There is always some one waiting to cross at this High Street level crossing, and after the foot bridge was removed, every one must wait.

There is a new foot bridge being built here. This will put back a footbridge removed by BR. Work on the first stages begain in October 2014. This is footbridge is due to be finshed some time in 2016 I think.

The signals on this page were removed with the upgrade of the station

There used to be two stations in Lincoln, The Great Northern's Lincoln Central and the Midland railways Lincoln St Marks. Unlike some towns and villages, these stations were right in the middle of the town. Both stations were lest than a mile apart, and both stations had level crossings near to the end of the platforms on the main High street. Today Lincoln Central is the only station at Lincoln. This still has a level crossing on the main High street.

Lincoln is the county town of Lincolnshire and was and still is the hub of the railways in this part of Lincolnshire.
