Class 55018 at Diesel Gala in April 2017

Class 55022 Deltic as Class 55018 Ballymoss

Class 55018 Ballymoss at the Peterborough NVR station on Saturday the 8th April 2017.

Deltic 'Royal Scots Grey' 55022 had been renamed and renumberd as 55018 with white cab windows, for this visit to the Nene Valley. The real Class 55018 'Ballymoss' was one of the Deltics that was not saved and was cut up at BREL at Doncaster in January 1982.

Class 55018 on the brake van rides along the Fletton Branch on Friday the 7th April 2017.

The Deltic was on the Fletton Branch and heading for the ECML. It will stop with these two brakevans a few 100yards from the junction. There is a gate across the branch which is only opened when trains come off the ECML and onto the NVR or need to get onto the ECML after events.

These brake van rides with the Deltic were only on the Friday of this three day event.
