Tornado
Tornado is a new build steam locomotive (2008) that was built by the A1 Steam Locomotive Trust. None of A1's were saved, all of the class being cut up by British Railways.
60163 Tornado was on shed at Wansford station not in steam, on Monday 1st of October 2018 .
Tornado has spent most of the sumer at the Nene Valley Railway after it failed on 'THE EBOR FLYER' from London Kings Cross to York on Saturday the 14th of April 2018. This train had been approved for 90mph running along the East Coast Main Line. The Inside motion failed near Sandy and Tornado was detached at Peterborough main line station and ended up at the Nene Valley.
New parts had to be made and tested, which all took time . Then these had to be fitted.
In September and early October 2018 Tornado was back in steam but was still running in its new motion on the NVR befor being tested out on the main lines, be for being passed for hauling fair paying passeners on the main lines.

Today ,LNER, Hull trains and Greater Anglia are just some of the names on the trains. The name on the train does not mean, thats whos train it is these days. These names keep changing, but that means I have to keep taking photos. I also take photos of preserved railways with steam diesel and electric trains. There is lots more to add and I keep taking More!
