GBRf class 66779
GBRf class 66779 Evening Star at Orton Mere railway station on the 9th September 2017.
This GBRf class 66 was the last class 66 built for the UK and European markets because new class 66s cannot pass the new more stringent emission regulations. GBRf has named this locomotive 'Evening Star' and painted it in lined brunswick green, as was the last British Railways steam locomotive 9F 2-10-0 Evening Star. It even has a British Railways (late) lion logo as well as a steam shed plate. There is also a bell.
This locomotive was at the NVR just for this event.
GBRf class 66779 Evening Star at Orton Mere on Saturday the 9th September 2017 light engine.

As well as GBRF Class 66779 Nene valley based 34081 92 Squadron and Class 31217 and D9520 and 9529 were used at this event.

Today ,LNER, Hull trains and Greater Anglia are just some of the names on the trains. The name on the train does not mean, thats whos train it is these days. These names keep changing, but that means I have to keep taking photos. I also take photos of preserved railways with steam diesel and electric trains. There is lots more to add and I keep taking More!
