 Wisbech & Upwell tramway coach

Ge 7 coach in Weybourne station Saturday the 8th of March 2015

This coach is part of the NNR vintage coach set, was built for the Wisbech & Upwell tramway. It was later transferred to the Kelvedon & Tollesbury branch. When that then closed, the coach spent the next 23 years as an onion store. It was saved by 2 preservation sites, before the M&GN Society took over its ownership in 2002 and have now made a fine job of resorting it.

The North Norfolk Railway runs between Sheringham and Holt which is about 10 miles for the return trip. Sheringham is the railways headquarters.

Holt station is not now were the old station was, as when this part of line closed a road was built on part the old railway bed into Holt. Some of the site were the old station was, has now been built on. The new NNR station at Holt has all new platforms but the signal box and the station buildings and other parts, have been saved from other M&GN stations.

On the other side of the road to the Sheringham North Norfolk Railway station is Sheringham Mainline railway station which is part of the Bittern Line from Norwich. The North Norfolk Railway own station is the old Midland and Great Northern Joint Railway station with the mainline station being just a very short new open platform.
