Work is under way to put in the up line point near the walton footbridge bridge.

the track on left will replace the track next to the locomotive.

The up line point for the dive under near the walton footbridge bridge has now been put in .

 

The old up line on the Leicester to Peterborough line is now not in use. This was only put in when work started on dive under

The tramper will have to get the line ready for trains Monday morning.

 

The new Leicester to Peterborough line up line which will replace the line near the dive under on the left has just been laid.

 

 

 

On 4th of June 2021 work was also under way at the North end of the dive under (looking south) no points were required this end .

 

The rails are going to be reused and have been moved out of the way.
