Platform 3 was, and still is, the up fast so trains are doing about 100 miles a hour, so keep well behind the yellow lines!
This platform was part of the upgrade at Peterborough railway station. New lifts were added to this new platform. There was a small strip of waste land between the old platform 3 and the up fast line were a new platform face was built making it into an island platform This new platform face is now platform number 3.
