82230 is a Mark 4 DVT (Driving Van Trailer or Driving Luggage Van) It was built in 1988 as part of the Intercity 225(1C225) sets by Metro Cammell. There is only a drivers cab and a space for parcels or more likly today cycles in them
The DVTs are at the south end of the trains on the ECML. The power unit of the train is the class 91s at the other end of the train. The class 91s push the train from Scotland to London with the driver in the DVT
East Coast took over the running of the ECML train services run by National Express East Coast as from the 14th November 2009. Then Virgin East Coast and then LNER 2020.

York is a very large station on the East Coast Main Line between London and Scotland. The station is next to the National Railway Museum .
In 2008 East Coast has taken over these East Coast Main line services from National Express. First Trans Pennine Express and Northern Rail and Cross Country together with East Midland Trains and Grand Central were just some of the train operaters who used this York station in 2008.

At the start of 2020 LNER Cross County Grand Central Hull trains and Northern and Trans Peninine were some of main train operaters who used York station.
Coronavirus outbreak 2020
By April 2020, when I am redoing this page ever thing had gone into lock down in April 2020 with the Coronavirus outbreak.
Grand Central and Hull trains have suspended thier trains during the lock down.
I canot go out and Take my York 2020 photos. Hopfully it will not now be 2021.
