Brake van rides on the Fletton Branch 23rd Febuary in 2013

This brake van ride on the Fletton Branch heads for Orton Mere.

The 23rd of Febuary 2013 was the first day of brake van rides along the Fletton Branch. Which is now part of the Nene Valley railway. It runs from Orton Mere to Fletton Junction on the East Coast Main Line. There are gates across the track at the ECML end which are opened when the NVR uses the main line connection .

It was bitter cold with snow at times that day. It was Febuary of course, and it was very cold on that brake van.
