D335 at Peterborough Nene Valley

D335 coming into the Peterborough Nene Valley stationon the 17th May in 2014

D335 at Peterborough Nene Valley station during the Diesel Gala 17th May 2014, about to leave for Wansford.

This Class 40 no.40135 was built by English Electric at its Vulcan Foundry in Newton-le-Willows in 1961. It was withdrawal by British Rail in December 1986. It is now owned by the Class 40 Preservation Society. The locomotive is based at the East Lancashire Railway.

GBRf Class 66748 at the Peterborough Nene Valley station on the 17th May 2014.

This class 66 did not get to the NVR till around dinner time as it was busy working on the main line that morning, and had more real work on the main line to do that Saturday night.
