DB class 60 001 

DB class 60 001 in the bay at the Wansford Nene Valley Railway station on the 11th of  April in 2015

DB Schenker between September 2011 and October 2013 upgraded some of its class 60 for use on it heavy freight trains on the main lines in the Uk to Super 60s. Class 60001 is one of these locomotives. This locomotive would be back on mainline freight trains after its weekend visit to the Nene Valley Railway.

DB class 60 001 at the Wansford on the 11th of  April in 2015 on its return from Peterborough when the sun had come out.

This Nene Valley Diesel Gala was held over the weekend of the 11th and 12th of April 2015. 

The Nene Valley Railway now (2014) runs from Peterborough to Wansford railway station and then on to Yarwell junction. Wansford Station is on part of the old A1 at Stibbingson and is about 2 miles from the village of Wansford itself. The line is about 7 1/2 miles long. It now has the Fletton Branch which is about another mile and a bit.
