BR Type 3 Class 37 No. D6700 coming into Orton Mere .
This British Railways Type 3, Class 37, No. 6700 diesel-electric locomotive was built for BR by the English Electric Company in 1960 at its Vulcan Foundry in Newton-le-Willows. It is now at National Railway Museum. It started with the number D6700 and the was numbered 37119 and then 37350 be for being renumbered back to D6700 when it returned to a very clean gross BR green.
It was one of the locomotives that came just for this 3 day diesel gala.
This NVR Diesel gala started on the Friday. The trains only used the Mark1s on the Friday. It was a lot better taking photos on the Friday, as most people are at Work!
The video below was taken on at the Nene Valleys Orton Mere station of D6700 at the NVRs Diesel Gala on Friday the 28th and at the Peterborough NVR station on Saturday the 29th September in 2012. On the Saturday every got off the train, then took some photos and got back on.

It now has the Fletton Branch which is about another mile and a bit.
