LMS 4MT lvatt class 4 43106 in 2009.

43106 at the Severn Valleys Hamton Loade station in 2009

43106 is a LMS 4MT lvatt class 4. This class of steam locomotives was better know as Flying Pigs  This one 43106 is the only one that was saved out of the 162 built.

This LMS 2-6-0 was designed by H G Ivatt . Only three were built in 1947 by the LMS, the rest were built between 1948 and 1952, under British Railways. Some of these locomotives may all aready have been started in 1947. The London Midland region used them and the M&GNJR.
