4771 Green Arrow which is the only V2 that has been saved. It is part of the National Collection at the NRM at York. This was one of its last in steam trips out of the NRM.
In April 2008 4771 Green Arrow after suffered a boiler failure. This could be mended, but the ‘monobloc’ cylinder casting has a a crack in it. This all in one casting will need needs replacing with a new casting. The NRM are not currently willing to meet the high cost involved along side all the othe locomotives that the own that need work.
In 2019 it is still on Static Display awaiting the go ahead from the NRM and the cash to repair it.
