West Coast Railways class 37/5 No. 37676 was wating to be named as Loch Rannoch at the open day.
This locomotive has been busy on the main line.
Class 37685 which was on display at t the depot in 2008. It was to be returned to traffic on the main line by the West Coast Railways repainted in WCR colours with the name "Loch Arkig".

This locomotive is in use on the mainline and is based at there Southall depot
Although Class 37706 was looking in poor state in 2008 with the paint rubbed down. This class 37 is went back on the mainline in West Coast colours.
Fragonset class 47355 in 2008 this may have be awaiting restoration in 2008 ?
Class 37710 in Load haul colours was in the shed in 2008. I think it was going to be used as a source of spares.
Carnforth Steamtown was one of the main museum site in the UK till around 1997. The major features of the site was its ash plant and the Coaling tower.
These Open days were stopped in 1997 because of commercial activity and the amount of carriages and engines on the site.
