British Railways Standard class 2-10-0 9F 92203 on shed at Toddington on the Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway in 2008. The name plates have been removed and the six holes can be seen on the smoke deflectors. Dirt has also been added and the white paint just for this event. This locomotive is always very clean, apart from one this event .I think they had a photo taken in it's BR days and were try to make it look like the photo.
This 9F was purchased by the artist and wildlife conservationist David Shepherd and he named it Black Prince. In 2010 this locomotive has moved to the North Norfolk Railway.
The Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway has saved a part of the former Great Western Railways mainline from Birmingham via Stratford-upon-Avon to Cheltenham. The Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway runs trains between the Cheltenham Race Course station at Cheltenham to Broadway. It now has stations at Gotherington Winchcombe and Hails Abbey Halt and Toddington and Broadway (Broadway station only reopened in 2018 ).
