The Great Central Railway

In Its early days the Great Central Railway was known as the Main Line Steam Trust.

 

Manning Wardle 0-6-0ST Littleton No.5 and 2-6-0 no. 377 King Haakon V11

Quorn and Woodhouse station when the railway only went to Rothley. Manning Wardle 0-6-0ST Littleton No.5 and 2-6-0 no. 377 King Haakon V11 which is now at Bressingham Steam & Gardens at Diss in Norfolk.  The mark ones are still in BR blue and grey

LNER B1 1306 was at the Great Central in the early days be for leaving for the Nene Valley Railway which it was at for a number of years.  It is now based at the North Norfolk Railway  in 2014-2015
