Class 47 D1705 on shed in the British Railways two tone green with its head codes.
This class 47 is in its original two tone green with a small yellow warning panal. Its number was D1705 when new. When new they were known as a Brush type 4s. The Brush works is only about a mile away from were it is standing.

D5185 is a Derby type 2 class of locomotive. It was built at Darlington Works in 1963. It has a Sulzer 6 cylinder diesel engine with a turbo-charger and a intercooler producing 1250 hp.
D5185 worked the last Peterborough East to Leicester train via Rugby in June 1966
