70013 Oliver Cromwell at Quorn and Woodhouse station at the Great Central Railway in May 2008.
No.70013 which has the name Oliver Cromwell is a BR Standard 4-6-2 locomotive with the BR classification 7. it was was built at Crewe in 1951. This steam locomotive class is known as the Britannia class, after the first member of the class which had the name Britannia.

No.70013 was made part of the t he National Collection after it took part in the Fifteen Guinea Special, which was to be BRs very last steam passenger train in 1968.
The NRM had limited storage space and sent the locomotive to the Bressingham steam museum on the 19th August 1968. Here it gave footplate trips on a short bit of track about 200 yards long. These footplate rides were later stopped, and it was just put on display.
In 1993 Steam Railway tried to get the locomtive moved, but nothing came of it. The locomotive was at Bressingham till 2004.

In 2004 Steam Railway and the NRM at last got the locomotive out of Bressingham, when it went to Railfest (2004) at the NRM . After that event it was moved to the Great Central Railway were the locomotive was given a full overhaul by Loughborough Standard Locomotives Group Ltd and the 5305 Locomotive Association
2008 was the year of 40th anniversary of the Fifteen Guinea Special that was to have been the very last steam passenger train on the main line in normal every day use .
There was re-run of the tour was on Sunday 10th August 2008, as August 11 was on a Monday in 2008, with 70013 taken part in it again

The Great Central Railway runs from Loughborough to Leicester North station close to the Leicester outer ring road. There are stations at Rothey and at Quorn & Woodhouse. The head quarters of the railway is at Loughborough were the engine shed is and the main shop ect. The railway has a large collection of steam and diesel engines
