GWR 5101 Class 2-6-2T Locomotive number 4141 at Quorn and Woodhouse

GWR 5101 Class 2-6-2T Locomotive number 4141at Quorn and Woodhouse station. This class is known as a Large Prairie and  this locomotive was built in 1946. The driver and fireman are having a well earned drink.

The Great Central Railway runs from Loughborough to Leicester North station close to the Leicester outer ring road. There are also  stations at Rothey and at Quorn & Woodhouse. The head quarters of the railway is at Loughborough were the engine shed is and the main shop ect. The railway has a large collection of steam and diesel locomotives.
