U class 2-6-0 31806 at Loughborough station on the 30th of January 2016
31806 is a U class 2-6-0 which was built at the Brighton Works in October 1926. 31806 and was originally built as a K class 2-6-4 tank engine. It then rebuilt in Brighton in June 1928 as a 2-6-0 tender locomotive. 31806 was withdrawn in 1964 by BR . 31806 is the only survivor of the K class rebuilds.
