Some of the Locomotives under repair at Dereham in March 2011
Class 47 and 31 and a class 56
Class 47 at the Mid-Norfolk's Diesel gala on Saturday 19th March 2011 in Derham station. This class 47 has the number 47584 on it, but I do not think thats it number as I think that 47 was cut up?
This class 31530 was built by Brush in 1960 and has had the number D 5695 and then 31265 and also 31430 and 31530. It was painted in the DCE grey and yellow or "Dutch" colours which may need a repaint when all the on going work is done. This 31 is named "sister Dora".
Class 56101 in BR blue with the large arrows and full yellow ends. This class 56 was built at Doncaster by British Rail Engineering Ltd in 1981 and was under repair at Dereham in March 2011.
Also class 31438 was along side this 56. There is always work to do on locomotives and the Mid-Norfolk has a fine set of diesels to keep them very busy

A lot of the other preserved railways had already had a twenty year start when they started.
The Mid-Norfolk Railway's own web site is at
