0-4-0 Diesel Shunter D2654 Class 31 108 Hudwell Clake 0-6-0T
This Green Yorkshire Engine Co D2654 0-4-0 diesel shunter that was in the yard at Wansford station headquarters of the Nene Valley railway in 2005 with one of the engine covers removed.

This 0-6-0T is a Hudwell Clake tank engine number 1800 which had a very quite life at the British Sugar Corporation's Peterborough beet factory, which was along side the railway line that is now The Nene Valley Railway. There are houses on the site of the old Peterborough beet factory now.
When this 0-6-0T Hudwell Clake tank moved to the Nene Valley some one put a name on it and the rest is history, as the say. What was the name, of course its 'Thomas,
'Thomas' coming into Wansford.
