Some locomotives in the early days at the NYMR
0-6-0T no.31 Meteor on the NYMR at Goathland.
0-6-0T no.31 Meteor was used on many trains on The NYMR. This locomotive has now left the NYMR and is having a major repair and rebuild on the East Somerset Railway. It was built by Robert Stephenson & Hawthorn in 1950.
BR AC Cars railbus No. W79978.
This railbus has left the NYMR. The railbus was sold to the Kent & East Sussex Railway in 1979 then in 1984 it then moved to the Colne Valley Railway were I think it still is.
Blue 0-4-0 with a tank on its cab at the NYMR at Goathland.

The North Yorkshire Moors Railway (NYMR) is one of the top Heritage Railways in the UK. The railway runs though some of Yorkshire's finest moor land.
The North Yorkshire Moors Railway runs from Grosmont to Pickering. There are stations at Goathland and Levisham. There is also a halt at Newton Dale.
