This East Midlands Trains class 158780 with a train to Nottingham was still painted in Central Trains green but has had the Central Trains name removed and replaced with the East Midlands name in white in the middle of the sides.

This East Midlands Trains class 158 812 is on a train to Liverpool Lime Street  station. This class 158 in Norwich station on Saturday the 4th September in 2010 has been repainted in the East Midlands Railway colours.

East Midlands Trains took over parts of the Central Trains franchise and some of Midland Mainlines franchise on 11th November in 2007. As part of the franchise they took over 25 of these class 158s which were painted in quite a few colours. It took some time to repaint them all, as only one or two units could be out of service at any one time.

The class 158 or Express Sprinter is a diesel multple unit that were built for British Rail from 1989 to 1992 by BREL at its Derby works.
