The Flying Scotsman on Thursday the 25th February 2016 with "THE INAUGURAL RUN" from Kings Cross to York in platform 4 at Peterborough.
The low winter sun was shining off the very new and very clean paintwork. Flying Scotsman was 30mins late, into Peterborough because of the numbers of people who were on the line-side all along the East Coast Main line.
Platforms 3 and 4 at Peterborough were full of people all with camera’s and phones. TV camera’s were also on the platforms and above in the sky.
