This 20 inch gauge steam outline diesel Hydraulic locomotive Neptune was built in 1931 for The North Bay Railway at Scarborough. It is still in use on this railway today. (2014)
Hawk is a 0-4+4-0 15inch gauge steam engine. It was completed at Clayton West by Brian Taylor in 1998. This locomotive is based on a Kitson Meyer type locomotive that was built in Scotland and then exported to Chile in 1903.
It had come to the event from the Kirklees Light Railway at Clayton West near Hunderfield and was one of the locomotives working at the Railfest 2012 Exhibition held at the National Railway Museum in York.
This Bassett-Lowke 4-4-2 15 inch steam locomotive Synolda was on the other end of the train above. This locomotive had come from the Ravenglass & Eskdale Railway. Be for it went to the Ravenglass & Eskdale Railway it been at the Sand Hutton railway which was, or is near York.
The UKs National Railway Museum is at York right along side the York railway station.
