Over the weekend of 14th and 15th of July in 2007, Barrow Hill held a Class 20 gala to mark 50 years since the class 20 or English Electric 1000hp Type 1 had entered into traffic with British Railways.

This British Railways Class 06 is the only one of this class left. it is a 0-4-0 diesel-mechanical shunter. 35 were built by Andrew Barclay Sons and Company for the British Railways Scottish Region.

Class 10 D4092
Class 10 in British Railways green with the number D 4092 insde the roundhouse
D4092 is named Christine and is a Class 10 0-6-0 diesel shunting locomotive that was built at Darlington in 1962. The Class 10 was a variation on the Class 08 diesel-electric shunter having a Blackstone diesel engine fitted instead an English Electric one.
