Class 33065
 
This class 33065 has now been named Sealoin. It is now normally at the Spa Valley Railway. It is one of 24 class 33s that have been saved. Class 33065 number was D6585 be for it got its Tops number.
Class 33's
 
The BRCW Type 3 Diesel-electric locomotives were built for the Southern Region of British Railways. 98 were built at the Birmingham Railway Carriage and Wagon Works at Smethwick during 1960 to 1962. Numbers: D6500 to D6597. The cl;ass 33 have an 8 Cylinder Sulzer diesel engine. The Tractive Effort is 45,000lbs with a BO-BO wheel arrangement. Top speed is 85 mph

After lots of rain during the week befor the River Nene was overflowing its banks at Wansford.

GBRf class 66718 is named Gwyneth Dunwoody and has "Metronet Renewing The Tube" on its side.This class 66 was used to work infrastructure trains for Metronet.
 
This class 66 is named after the late Labour MP Gwyneth Dunwoody who was the longest-serving female MP in Parliament. Mrs Dunwoody wasthe MP for Crewe and Nantwich.
 
Metronet was responsible on nine London Underground lines for there maintenance and  renewal and upgradeing between 2003 to 2008. It was went into administration from 18 July 2007 to 26 May 2008. It then had to be bailed out by the government. On 27 May 2008 it transferred back into public ownership when "Transport for London" took over the company responsibilities.
 
Class 66718 is about to leave Wansford Nene Valley station in as used all the week befor on the mainline condition. (Dirty!) This makes a nice change from the far to clean engines we see some times, that have done no work during the week or have been over cleaned for the event.

Class 14s
 
The Class 14 is a 0-6-0 Diesel Hydraulic. 56 of them were built at Swindon by British Rail in 1964 and 1965. The have a Paxman Venture 6Y JX engine. After only four years of service on BR, most were sold to NCB and to British Steel at Corby which is about 17 miles from the NVR.  British Steel main steel works were closed at Corby between 1979 and 1981 with over 5000 jobs lost. With the coal Mines also closing, these class 14 were then not needed.
