Platform 3 was, and still is, on the up fast so trains are doing up to about 100 miles a hour that do not stop, so keep well behind the yellow lines!
This platform was part of the upgrade at Peterborough railway station. New lifts were added to this new platform shaded with platform 2. There was a small strip of waste land between the old number 3 platform and the up fast line. This is were a new platform face was built making an island platform This new platform face on the up fast is now platform number 3.
