GWR Praire 2-6-2T no.6141
This GWR Praire 2-6-2T no.6141 is in British Railways green in North Weld station at The Epping and Ongar Railway on the 30th of June 2013.
6141 is a Great Western 5101 or as it is better known as the large Prairie. 209 of these were built between 1903 and 1949. 4141 was built at Swindon in 1946.
This was one of the 10 locomotives of this class of steam locomotives that ended up at Barry scrap yard and were saved for preservation. 4141 was withdrawn in February 1963 befor ending up at Barry in 1964.
This locomotive is now based at the Epping and Ongar. It came to this railway in 2012.
