The Geat Western Hall Class 4-6-0 was  introduced by C B Collett in 1928. This GWR Modified Hall class 4-6-0 number 7903 Foremarke Hall was designed by F W Hawksworth and Modified Hall's were introduced between 1944 and 1949. Foremarke Hall was withdrawn by British Railways in 1964 and moved to the Barry Scrapyard.

The Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway has saved a part of the former Great Western Railways mainline from Birmingham via Stratford-upon-Avon to Cheltenham.  The Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway runs trains between the Cheltenham Race Course station at Cheltenham to Broadway. It now has stations at Gotherington Winchcombe and  Hails Abbey Halt and Toddington and Broadway (Broadway station only reopened in 2018 ).
