Great Western Railway 4-4-0 City of Truro
Great Western Railway 4-4-0 City of Truro in 2006 at the Cheltenham Race Course station on The Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway in 2006. There is a new platform here now in 2015 (platform 2) which is not yet in use in 2016 but was on my next visit in 2018.
GWR 4-4-0 City of Truro in 2006 at the Cheltenham Race Course station on The Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway in 2006. The signals were not in use for this event. But were all ready to be used when they were passed, which they were soon after this event.

This Great Western Railway 3700 Class, or City Class 4-4-0 steam locomotive was designed by William Dean and built at Swindon in 1903. It is owned by the National Railway Museum at York.
The Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway has saved a part of the former Great Western Railways mainline from Birmingham via Stratford-upon-Avon to Cheltenham. The Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway runs trains between the Cheltenham Race Course station at Cheltenham to Broadway. It now has stations at Gotherington Winchcombe and Hails Abbey Halt and Toddington and Broadway (Broadway station only reopened in 2018 ).
