Class 360117 in Kettering station on 17th September in 2021
This unit had failed and I along with the all other passengers to Corby had had to change platforms.
Class 360117 and class 360120 in Kettering station on 17th September in 2021
360120 is heading to also Corby and is the next service which I needed to get on.
We had gone slow from Werringborough and had sat in train while it was turned off and turned back on, which did not work.
Kettering station station in 2020 still has most of is its station canopies remaining which are being repaired but had be set back because of overhead wires . There are four platforms at Kettering station The two over the foot bridge are numbers three and four. all platforms are used by EMR trains.
There is a buffet and ticket office at Kettering and the size of the car park shows the station is well used. The main platforms are on the fast lines and non stop trains wizz though at about 90 miles an hour. The displays warn when non stop trains are coming though, yellow lines are painted on the platforms and passengers are warned to keep behind these.
With the overhead wires going up there is lots of work going on in and around the station in March 2020. Bits are being removed from the canopys which are to near to the wires.
