De Glen compound 4-6-0 Nord 3.628
Nord steam locomotive looking very un-cared for on shed at Wansford in October 2008
There is good news that after this locomotive left the Nene Valley and went to Longueville in France. This De Glen compound 4-6-0 Nord 3.628 (SNCF 230 D 116) was cosmetically restored. It can be seen at the AJECTA railway museum in Longueville.
These two steam locomotives cut the tape in Wansford station to mark the opening of the railway. The train than ran from Wansford station to Orton Mere and return.

I have put a link to the AJECTA railway museum in Longueville France . The Nord locomotive looks very smart on this site.
It well worth having a look at the photos on there site. You may even want to go and have a look.
Use the Back Button to return.

With a fresh coat of paint class 37518 stands near to Wansford shed this class 37 now has the Large BR arrows and full yellow ends in Railfreight colours.
It did not look so clean in March 2008.
