Rugby
Rugby railway station is on the West Coast Main Line it opened in 1885. It is 82 miles from London Euston station. This station was known as Rugby Midland between 1950 and 1970 be for the second station at Rugby on the now closed Great Central Main line closed.
North of the station There is a junction with part of The WCML going to Birmingham New Street Station (the Birmingham loop) and the other part going to Nuneaton and the north and Scotland.
South of the station part of the WCML goes via Northampton and part now the fast lines bypasses Northamton befor re-joining up again south of Northampton.
