Both of these boxes were on the line between  Nottingham and Skegness .

Ancaster signal box opened around 1875 and is on the line from Nottingham to Boston and Skegness in the village of Ancaster between Gratham and Sleaford.

The Lincoln line from here closed on 1st Novermber 1965. The Lincoln branch junction track was then removed in 1969. This signal box was closed on the 29th July 1984. The level crossing was then changed to automatic half-barriers, supervised by the  Ancaster signal box above.
