Open day held at The Etches Park Depot at Derby on Saturday 13th September 2014 to mark 175 years of Derbys railways.
This page has some of the Network Rail locomotives on display at this event
Network Rail 97303 in its all over yellow colour and was at at the Open day that was held at The Etches Park Depot at Derby on Saturday 13th of September in 2014
This class 37 locomotive was converted at Barrow Hill in 2008 from Class 37178 to 97303 as a ERTMS Signalling test locomotive for use on the Cambrian lines in Wales between Shrewsbury and Aberystwyth, which now uses ERTMS (the European Train Control System).
Network Rail are hoping to have ETCS cab signalling (the European Train Control System) replace all traditional signalling on uk railways in the years to come.
Network Rail DVT 82124 at the Derby Open day in 2014 in very clean yellow colour.
The Mark 3 DVTs or Driving Van Trailer or Driving luggage Van as it is sometimes called were buit at Derby around 1988.
This DVT has had a diesel engine and a generator, added because of the amount of test gear on Nework Rail test trains that need electricity
