Peterborough Down Fast line February 2014
Grand Central Class 180 on the down fast on 21st February 2014.
Class 66051 was on the down fast at Peterborough and was just about to go under Crescent bridge.
This train was the Dollands Moor sidings to Scunthorpe Redbourne sidings empty steel freight.
East Coast class 91107 on the down fast speeds nonstop, while a up East Coast Train slows in platform 3 on the up fast on the 25th of October 2014.

The Down Fast
The down fast has remained the same un-like the up fast that now has a platform on it (Platform 3) which can be seen in the photo above.
This down fast line line was put in late 1960s early 70s so trains could do 111mph instead of the 20mph at Peterborough. All Grand Central and Hull trains use the fast lines. East Coast trains not stopping at Peterborough also used these lines.
