Platform 7
This Page is about the all new platform 7 in 2014. As part of the upgrade at Peterborough railway station. New lifts have been built for all platforms
Platform 7 is part of an all new Island platform. this was built were the goods loops were along side platform 5. This new Island platform has been given the platform numbers of 6 and 7. Cross Country and East Midland Trains will use these platforms with trains to and from the March line. ( some of these trains still use platforms 4 or 5 ) Both platforms 6 and 7 have no overhead wires and will be used for services like the Liverpool to Norwich and the Birmingham to Stanstead trains that run mostly on non-wired lines.
Freight trains also use this platform both ways.
