Peterborough Down Fast line 2016
Virgin East Coast HST 43296 on the down fast on the 19th July 2016.
Virgin East Coast class 91129 on the down fast on the 14th August in 2016.
Virgin East Coast class 91130 on the down fast on the 4th June in 2016.
The signal is for platform 4 a Norwich train with the feather for the March line. The 30 mile an hour sign is for this movment.

The Down Fast
The down fast has remained the same un-like the up fast that has a platform on it (Platform 3).
This down fast line line and up fast line were put in late 1960s early 70s so trains could do 111mph instead of the 20mph at Peterborough. All Grand Central and Hull trains use the fast lines. Virgin now LNER down trains not stopping at Peterborough use these lines.
