The New Platform 3 in 2014
Platform 3 is on the up fast
Grand Central class 180 in platform 3 at Peterborough with a train to London Kings Cross station on the 22nd of May in 2014. The 180 had ben slowed by a red signal at the end of platform 3 which had then turned yellow.
Grand Central trains do not stop at Peterborough and uses the up fast which is now also platform 3. .they often get a signal check on a yellow so have to slow down.
East Midlands HST set with power car 43058 in the platform 3 at Peterborough with a train to London Kings Cross station on the 12th of April 2014. This set was on hire to East Coast. These HSTs have been on hire to East Coast Virgin and now LNER.
East Coast class 91130 at the rear of a London train in platform 3 on the 4th of December 2014
The blue East Coast "Sky1 HD" Driving Van Trailer or DVT into the then new platform 3 at Peterborough with a train to London Kings Cross station on the 14th of June 2014.
This train was all Sky blue apart from the class 91 no. 91119 this end, which was in East Coast silver grey. The blue Sky class 91 was on another set. Each mark 4 coach had someone on them. It was rare to see the full set all together, (or was I just unlucky?).

East Coast class 91104 is at the rear of another train to Kings Cross in platform 3 at Peterborough on the 14th of June 2014.
East coast HST power car 43 311 is in platform 3 at the rear of a train to London Kings Cross station on the 30th of December in 2014.
GBRf class 66765 with one wagon is just to the north of platform 3 on the up fast on the 30th of December in 2014.
There was only a strip of waste land between the old platform 3 (now platform 2) and the up fast line were weeds only grew. A new platform face has now been built now platform 3 along the up face making an island platform were new waiting rooms have been built.
