Manton Junction is were the line to Kettering leaves the Peterborough to Leicester railway line.  The line goes over Harringworth  Viaduct   and  on to Corby  and.Kettering and the Midland Main line to London. 

This railway line is from Syston Junction to Peterborough. Most passenger trains are class 170 or 158 units from Birmingham via Leicester to Peterborough March Ely and Cambridge and then on to Stanstead airport. Container trains and stone hoppers and Ballast trains are the main types of freight trains on this line.
